Program Rankings for Online Baccalaureate Degrees

Baccalaureate degrees, otherwise known as bachelor’s degrees, increase your chances of finding a job and allow you to make more money in just about any field that interests you. If you want to really give you resume a boost, consider going to one of the top schools for this type of degree; not only will your classes fully prepare you for your chosen field, but you’ll also benefit from outstanding student services, top professors in your field, and more.

Harvard University

One of the top colleges in the country is Harvard University. This school was named the top undergraduate school by U.S. News and World Report, one of the top college-ranking publications in the United States, but even long before U.S. News had been ranking programs, Harvard was considered a top school in the world. Harvard is located in Cambridge, which is just outside Boston, an they have a very rigorous application process, accepting less than 10 percent of the students who apply.

Williams College

The top liberal arts college, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report, is Williams College, which is also located in Massachusetts. At this school, you can choose your major from one of the schools three’s branches: humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Their acceptance rate is about double that of Harvard, giving you a much better chance of being accepted, though there are still great student services and the chance to take classes from top professors at this college, just like at Harvard.

Other Top-Ranked Colleges

Harvard University and Williams College are two of the top colleges in the United States, but they aren’t the only colleges you should consider. Other top schools in the United States include Amherst College, Swarthmore College, and of course Ivy League universities like Princeton and Yale. Keep in mind that you should also check out top-ranked colleges in your specific degree field. The top college for someone who wants to be a teacher isn’t necessarily going to be the top college for someone who wants to be a doctors or someone who wants to be a marketer. Look outside of the box, too. Just because a college is top-ranked doesn’t mean it is the best for you.
